The mercy of God

In Old Testament times were people excluded from God's Kingdom, just because they weren't born in Israel?

Here we see how God dealt with a godless nation.

Look at God's dealings with mankind from the book of Jonah.

 The message of Jonah

God's motive.

A harsh word which was a warning,

but it had the desired effect.

Same God

of the Old Testament as the New

The book of Nahum describes God in ways that we may not be accustomed to hearing.

But the New Testament has a lot of similar descriptions.

A God of wrath and mercy

How can God be both?

God's righteous anger

The people of Nineveh had once found God slow to anger, but things had gone too far. God's fury is not like our unbridled, ungoverned temper.

But the Lord is good to all those who trust in Him.
