Assessment activity examples: (relating to Lesson Plans: 15 to 17)
Cambs Agreed Syllabus:
Pupils will show evidence that they:
understand the importance of showing sensitivity to and respect for the feelings of people who hold religious beliefs, particularly when these differ from their own;
Example of activities:
In pairs pupils play roles of two children talking about a religious practice only one of them observes e.g. Muslims fasting, Jews abstaining from work on Shabbat, Christians going to church every Sunday. Pupils take turns playing both roles. They explain areas of sensitivity to an audience.

(a) A modern true story of someones faith now:
Write in your own words the story of Jackie Pullinger:
She left England and went to the Walled City in Hong Kong. What sort of people did she help and how did she help them? What was her attitude to people of a different culture?
Add this to the FAITH section:
(d) What is prayer?
God answers prayer in a way that is best for that person.
Jesus taught His disciples about prayer. What things did He say not to do, & what things did He say to do.
What do you know about the 'Lord's Prayer'?
Add this to the THE BIBLE section:
(d) Bible Stories:
Write about Zaccheus the tax collector. What did he think of riches & money? What happened when he met Jesus?
Write about the poor widow who gave just a few coins at the Temple. What did Jesus say about her?
So why did Jesus say that she would be rewarded?
