Assessment activity examples: (relating to Lesson Plans: 5 to 7)

Cambs Agreed Syllabus:

Pupils will show evidence that they:

have acquired knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other principal religions as outlined in the programmes of study;

Example of activities:

Using a selection of pictures, artefacts and pieces of text as a stimulus, pupils

produce written report / verbal presentation on a religion studied.

 

The children should continue their ongoing project on the Christian Faith.

 

The new sections to be added are:

 

JESUS

 

(a) Write in your own words the story surrounding the birth of Jesus.

 

FAITH

 

(a) Describe what baptism is. (Include the 2 different options, & the different ways of actually being baptized. Also mention the change of lifestyle, & the thought of being washed).

 

(b) Christian values / standards. (Describe some of these. What do the Ten Commandments tell us about our behaviour towards a) God b) Other people? Write about the 'conscience' & how it can be influenced.)
