HOW APPROACHABLE IS GOD?

“Jesus stood and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone is thirsty, let them come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within them.’”

(John 7:37)

God says: “Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved.”

(Romans 10:13)

“..there is no God apart from Me, a righteous God and a Saviour; there is none but Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22)

Jesus said: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

(Matthew 11:28)

Jesus said: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with Me.”

(Revelation 3:20)

WE'RE NOT AS 'GOOD' AS WE THINK WE ARE:-

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no-one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no-one who does good, not even one.”

(Psalm 14 :1-3)

IF I CARRY ON AS I AM, WITHOUT GOD, HOW DOES HE SEE THAT?

“Whoever rejects the Son (Jesus) will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”

(John 3:36)

“Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”

(Hebrews 9:27)

WHAT WILL GOD DO IF I WANT TO TURN TO HIM?

Jesus said: “For My Father’s will (that is God) is that everyone who looks to the Son (Jesus) and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

(John 6:40)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no-one can boast.”

(Ephesians 2:8-10)

I WANT TO TURN TO GOD:

Jesus “saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him.”

(Matthew 9:10)

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions (my sins & faults). Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are proved right when You speak and justified when You judge. Surely I have been a sinner from birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me ... Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

(Psalm 51:1-5,10)

Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father (God) except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well.”

(John 14:6)
