THE DAY OF PENTECOST:

That they weren't drunk.

God had done many miracles, wonders and signs through Jesus.

Jesus was given over to them to be killed according to God's plan.

That Jesus failed because He got killed.

God had raised Jesus to life, and that they were all witnesses of that fact.

Now Jesus had been raised up to God's throne.

Jesus had now poured out the promised Holy Spirit, which they had seen and heard.

To turn from their self centred life, and turn to God.

To be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.

That anyone could receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
